Feng Shui and Real Estate

No, this doesn't mean everyone needs to paint his or her front door red.  Your front door should only be red if it faces south.

Yes, it does mean that you need to get rid of the clutter.  Clutter is a BIG NO from a Feng Shui standpoint.  Clutter traps your Chi (energy) so it cannot help you sell your house.  Real Estate agents are right about this.  Remember, you need to get rid of the clutter when you move, so why not do it now.

OK, now that we got the clutter out of the way, think about what is needed to sell a house.  You need helpful people, you need prosperity, you need creativity and you need recognition.

Let's look at the directions that rule these areas from the Black Hat and Compass schools of Feng Shui.  Helpful people are located in the northwest.  This direction is a metal element so to activate the Chi in this area, use a metal mobile, preferably with round or oval shapes.  It should also be a white or metallic color.  Crystals also work well in this area.  If you have an extra phone, put the phone in the northwest, with a "coin set" (can be purchased from me) under the phone.  When you place it under the phone, do so with the intention that the phone will ring with potential buyers.

Prosperity is located in the southeast.  The southeast is ruled by wood, so the color green would be good here. Rectangular shapes or vertical stripes will be good here.  Floral, Books or wood items are an excellent choice here.  The phone trick mentioned above will also work here.

What creative things can you do to make the house sell?  Think outside the box.  Creativity is located in the west and is represented by the metal element.   All of the items mentioned for helpful people will work here.

Now let's look at recognition.  You need your house to get recognized.  This is the South represented by the element of fire.  Use colors in the red family, red, orange or pink.  Triangular or pointed shapes work well in this area.  A fireplace would be wonderful here, as would a computer.  Candles and pets are a good choice here.

Now that the inside of the house is addressed, let's look at the outside.  Your front porch light should be on at all times.  If you can, you should have a light at the back of your house shining on your house.  People need to see the house.

The For Sale sign should be located on the YANG side of your front yard.  This is the right side if you are looking at your front door.

Lastly, a wreath should be hanging on your front door.  This wreath should have a bird in its design.  Take a piece of paper and write the price you would like to receive for your house and the date you would like to sell it by.  Place this paper near the bird.  It does not need to be visible.  Remember, when you do this, release your intention that you state on the paper.  This allows the universe to fulfill the intention.
