Consider that these occurrences might be your Soul trying to get your attention and to call you home. I have found during the last few years this has happened to me over and over again. The places to which I have traveled have been about remembrances and openings to who I Truly Am and what I Am here to do. And these journeys always take place at the 'right' time for my healing process and personal growth.

Now 'right' timing or should I say Divine timing does not necessarily confirm itself to us within our logical minds. My first 'Soul' adventure occurred when it was least logical for me to go. A week before leaving on a planned trip to Peru and Bolivia, my corporate marketing business was in jeopardy of going bankrupt; I had suddenly lost one of my major clients and I had begun a new personal relationship that did not yet feel secure. But in my heart I knew I still had to go. 

As it turned out, the timing was in Divine perfection. I could not have done anything for the business if I had stayed. There was a time period in which I had to wait on others involved to see where the business was going and how it was going to play out. To sit around and worry was not going to do any good for me or the business. By going to South America, my True gifts were revealed and an understanding of my Self and my Purpose became more apparent. It was a turning point in my career and a different path than the one I was on was shown to me. As I review my travel journal I am still amazed by the experiences and insights I gained that formed a part of the foundation of my work today.

The trip showed me the way, opening my Self to new avenues and energies I had not yet experienced, and actually assisting me in salvaging my marketing business at the time.  None of this would have occurred if I had listened to my rational mind, which was saying, "Are you crazy leaving at a time like this?" Yes I was and delightfully so! I was reminded once again that in the midst of any turmoil, do not let the mind stop you if your heart continues to say, "Go for it!"

To physically experience a place is key. Some people ask, "Why travel to sacred lands and waters when you can go there via meditation or visualization?" We are in physical bodies and choose to experience and feel life through and within our bodies. Being physically on sacred ground or in sacred water enables us feel the vibrations it holds. I have learned that even if I can visualize going there in my meditations, this cannot match the energetic impressions experienced through being in the physical presence of the sacred land or waters. Your Soul remembers the familiar energies it once shared before by being there and your consciousness expands to embrace once again who you Truly are.

When you travel according to Divine timing, you receive the greatest Soul reward. I have always wanted to go to Peru, the Amazon, Egypt, Greece, the Greek Isles, Italy, France, England, Ireland, Wales, Africa, and Bimini to swim with dolphins. I had signed up for trips to many of these destinations that ended up being cancelled, either by me or by the trip sponsors for some 'reason'. In some cases I ended up going the following year or with another group. All was in Divine order. I went to Peru, to Egypt, to Bimini, to Greece and the Greek Isles, not at the times I thought I 'wanted' but in the timing I was guided to honor. I have yet to return (in this lifetime) to the other locations.

In 2002, I really wanted to go to France, however my Soul kept yearning for Greece and its surrounding islands and waters -- so off to Greece I went. Doing anything else could have led to consequences I would not want to entertain such as trouble traveling, a schedule that did not work, going to places or meeting people that would not be in my best interest or for my Highest good. Regardless, Greece was fabulous and the experiences, healings, Self realizations, and rejuvenation I felt and had there were profound.

Arriving at a certain location, at the specific time to which you are guided, holds more possibilities and gifts for you than if you dishonored the guidance. There is a juxtaposition of energies that occurs. Divine Source and your Soul coordinate the journey when the energies and the consciousness (yours, others, and the Divine) are most advantageous for your spiritual growth and empowerment. The energies held within the land or waters hold an activation and remembrance for you and your Soul. It provides you opportunities to open your heart and mind and make invaluable connections, both inner and outer. 

As to which lands or waters are considered sacred, that is in the eye of the beholder. What may be sacred to one person, may not be for another. Trust your Soul's (inner)voice; it knows best of what is Truly desired and needed. The journeys lead you to an understanding and knowledge of your uniqueness and who you Truly are with a remembrance of from whence you came. The lands and waters provide you with a tangible place and methodology to embody the physical sensations and feelings associated with these realizations and remembrances.

By embracing both the past and the present, the Truth of both are told and felt. Who have you been and where have you lived in the past? Who are you now and what is your purpose in life?  Your life is a journey and a continual process of lessons to learn, energies to heal, and experiences to feel, with a True purpose and vocation to fulfill that you and the Divine agreed upon before you were born. Sacred lands and waters can assist you with these questions and give you the courage, strength, fortitude, and commitment to march forward into the Truth.

So if you are being called to a land or waters, honor it! Go for your heart's desire! If you seemingly can't afford a trip but know you should be going . . . commit to it, give it up to Divine Source to provide, and show up to do your part. I have put money down on trips, not necessarily knowing how I was going to pay for the rest but I knew I was to go. And I did. My job wasn't to figure out the 'how', it was in the 'showing up' with faith and trust in the Divine and my Self, knowing I was being led to the place where I needed to be.

Let go of the mind and what looks rational. For remember, sometimes what Divine asks of us looks very irrational to us. In our perception, Love can be irrational because at times we cannot conceive of its infinite depth and possibilities in all that it is and gives to us. It's only the box we put ourselves in that limits the possibilities. So be sure to give your Self a gift today; don't wait until tomorrow (for it may never come), now is the only present time. Go forth and play outside the box to Create & Live Your Diamond Life™! 

What to explore? Utilize your breath, meditations, journaling, and dreams to provide you with the insights of the following:

Exploration 1. Where are you being called to? Ask why and do research about it. Does it feel familiar? Are you willing to go there and explore? Plan and commit to your trip.
Exploration 2.  If there are blocks to go on your trip, then where do you put yourself and your life inside a box? Ask how you can open the box by releasing and healing the past.
